Super Warm Loom Knit Scarf

I tested this beauty out last week on a blustery and rainy day and it was all I hoped it would be. Made with Lion Brand Thick & Quick Wool-Ease in Oatmeal just under 2 skeins with fringe. It is extra long to keep me extra toasty.

Pink & White Crochet Beanie

Simple crochet hat using two strands of yarn (one pink & one white) with a speed hook. The pink yard was just plain leftovers from my stash and the white is the super soft baby yarn with the sparkly threads in it.

Pink & Purple Crochet Toddler Beanie

This quick double crochet beanie was used with left over two-tone baby yarn from the baby blanket I made last month. I made it in the round decreasing each row after creating several foundation rows. This took approximately 3 hours. I think it needs a little flower or other little flourish on the side right above the ear but my daughter won’t let me have it back now.

Recycled Shopping Bag

I stripped used Target bags to make a plastic yarn then crocheted together with a speed hook to make a new (stronger and stretchier) market bag. This took approximately 3 hours including the time it took to make the yarn and I used about 10 old Target bags.

Angel Hair Yarn Scarf

This has to be one of the softest yarns ever. I crocheted this scarf using Angel Hair yarn from Jo-Ann Fabrics using a speed hook.

Extra Long Crochet Scarf

This scarf was crocheted for my secret santa recipient and was made with Wool-Ease Thick and Quick yarn in a dark grey color. It was my first project using a speed hook and didn’t take long to make at all once I got used to the giant hook.

Loom Knitted Purse

When I started this I intended for it to be at least twice this size and to be used as a market bag but the stretchy yarn had other plans. This bag was made using two strands (one white, one navy blue) of yarn at the same time on the blue Knifty Knitter long loom. I created it in one straight flat piece then crocheted the sides closed and made a strap. The top is left open without a closure or flap.

This was my first project using the Knifty Knitter looms. These wrist warmers were made with the green long loom then crocheted closed.

Two tone baby blanket

This baby blanket was crocheted for my friend’s newest arrival and first little girl. It is made by half double crocheting two strands of two tone baby yarn at the same time to add warmth and thickness. The border is made with Angel Soft yarn in a single crochet for 4 rows. While the yarn for the bulk of the blanket is washer and dryer safe the border will lose it’s super softness if left in the dryer with heat. This blanket was made crip sized to remain useful as the little one grows.
